WHERE Were You Harassed? to live stream at show that explores our shared experiences in domesticity during social isolation.
The reality of staying home for many women, families and children are not as comfortable as we would hope. Our new routine further highlights the inequalities in domestic labor and women’s issues that take place behind closed doors. During the first 11 weeks of lockdown from 24th March 2020, domestic abuse calls rose 11.4% in comparison to 2019. Over 45,000 calls were made during that period. (The Guardian)

Male victims of abuse also called for help in greater numbers, the Men’s Advice Line seeing calls rise 35% in the first week of lockdown. (The BBC)

WHERE Were You Harassed? is an inclusive, anonymous collection of over 500 location stories where sexual harassment took place. A location story can happen anywhere. A physical space (bedroom, street). A geographical spot (Paris, the countryside). Or other (a relative’s lap). Or a part of your body, if you identify that way.
