WHERE Were You Harassed? relies on strict confidentiality for everyone’s safety. We remove all identifying information, if there is any, from a story before posting on our site.

IF you recognize a story, do not comment or identify it in anyway. This protects those who have shared harassment stories.

Who we share data with

NO ONE. Stories are backed up on an encrypted thumb drive.

How long we retain data

Once a story is submitted and we post it, we delete all data associated with the submission from our computer, including email. We send an autoreply so they know we received their story, then delete the email. We do backup the stories on an encrypted thumb drive in case the site or server goes down.

NOWHERE (except on this site, posted anonymously).
